Selecta, producer, and music researcher, Pedro D-Lita has lived for over 20 years between Paris and London. He was one of the founders of the band Stereo Maracanã, a Rio de Janeiro group that innovated by blending hip-hop beats with capoeira percussion, creating the unique style of “root electro-funk capoeira.” The album *Combatente* (2002) and the subsequent European tour established the band’s name on the international scene, with appearances on compilations from renowned British and French labels, as well as performances at festivals and stages in cities such as Berlin, Brussels, London, and Brighton. About to launch his solo project titled *Exodus Beats*, produced by Junix 11 — with compositions in partnership with Jam da Silva, Marcelo Yuka, Aleh Ferreira, Elias Blacklus, and Lameck — Pedro creates sets that fluidly move through Afro-Brazilian rhythms, electronic beats, and urban sounds, building a sensory experience that connects tradition and contemporaneity. With a keen eye on the sonic diversity of the Global South, he transforms dance floors into territories of celebration, resistance, and discovery, promoting Brazilian music and its cultural roots within the European circuit.
