In 1978, Jards Macalé hosted a legendary party at his home, bringing together iconic figures from Brazil’s cultural scene. At dawn, on the bus ride back to Leblon, Hélio Oiticica sketched the blueprint for Macaléia, a “penetrable” artwork in homage to his friend Jards. This film revisits that singular moment, weaving together music, poetry, irreverence, and creative freedom to celebrate the deep bond between two anarchic icons of Brazilian culture — artists who overflow with genius and break boundaries with boldness and affection.
