A researcher and cultural producer from São Paulo, Farofa has been based in Porto since 2014. He describes himself as a Brazilian driven by music and the stories it is capable of weaving together. In the city, he has become a central figure in the emerging DJ scene, organizing themed parties and creating space for up-and-coming artists from Portugal, Brazil, and various parts of the world. With refined musical research and a keen eye for the dance floor, Farofa crafts sets that travel across decades and continents. His style is defined by the fusion of retro sounds — such as disco, soul, and funk — with contemporary electronic beats, in dialogue with influences from African, Brazilian, and Latin music. By spinning vinyl and selecting tracks with sensitivity, he creates a sonic experience that is both nostalgic and innovative, sparking movement, connection, and collective celebration. Our resident DJ will light up the final night of MIMO Amarante. He dances, jumps, and sings — making everyone vibrate to electrifying sounds. This is a party in its purest form: joy, rhythm, and total surrender.
