A historical and cultural tour inspired by the figure of São Gonçalo, the patron saint of Amarante. The route begins at the imposing Church and Convent of São Gonçalo, where the saint’s remains are kept, continues across the historic São Gonçalo Bridge — a symbol of the city and the setting of legends and significant events — and explores the local religious and popular culture, highlighting its heritage and traditions. Along the way, participants will be able to appreciate the local architecture, the banks of the Tâmega River, and the region’s rich gastronomy, including the famous conventual sweets.
