As a multimedia artist, the work of Roberta Carvalho mixes video, urban intervention, video projection, mixed realities, installation, audiovisual and interactive projects. She holds a degree in Visual Arts at the Federal University of Pará and is studying for a Master of Arts at the State University of São Paulo. The artist won several awards throughout her career and participated in exhibitions in Brazil, Belgium, the United Kingdom and Spain. In 2013 she founded the Amazon Mapping Festival, and in 2017 the M.A.N.A. Festival, where feminism and art are celebrated. In her work, Roberta explores the connection of spirits through dreams, and uses the bodies of indigenous peoples as a means of connecting nature to the virtual world.
