A MAMANUS ^BRAZIL

It is the meeting of two Brazilian DJs, Patisol and Clyta, resident DJs in the city of Porto. The musical research is centered on Latin-afro-diasporic sounds, such as: afrobeat, afrohouse, Brazilian funk, R&B, Hip-Hop, Trap, Dancehall. The sounds foster the “aquilombamento” of black communities living in Portugal. Since 2019, the duo has been taking decolonial experiences to the dance floor, subverting conservative ideals related to dance bodies and ancestral memory. They have performed at Pérola Negra and at parties such as Kebraku, Batidão (Maus Hábitos), Baile Funk e TODA (Ferro Bar); at LGBTQIA+ Parade, and at festivals such as Feminista and Festa em Ovar. They have also shared the stage with important names of Brazilian music such as Elza Soares, and the rapper Karol Conká.
