Poetry Rain

The Magic of it is to make poems fall like rain from the skyes over the people gathering at the patios. Thousands and thousands of colorful pieces of paper with special typography are thrown on the air, at the ring of the bells, bathing the people who fill the venue. On a true visual spectacle, the combination of the colors of the papers with the architectural landscape and the surprise of capturing excerpts from works by important world writers, make the Poetry Shower event one of the most enchanting moments of the MIMO Festival every year.

Created by the poet, designer and visual artist Guilherme Mansur, this unique initiative has been present for more than 20 years at the heritage churches of the state of Minas Gerais, especially in Ouro Preto, Brazil.
