LAURA PERRUDIN France
This young harpist, singer, and songwriter, whose crystalline voice seems more like an extension of her instrument, made an impact on the public and critics alike (“Le Monde,” “Les Inrocks,” and the BBC) with her debut album, Impressions, released in 2015. Named among the 2017 Adami Jazz Talents, Perrudin uses her chrome electric harp to build a unique universe, inspired by jazz, hip hop, soul, electronica, and traditional music from around the world. She reveals the affinities between these distinct languages through rich harmonic structures and original melodies, sometimes combining her modern music with poems by illustrious authors such as Blake, Yeats, and Joyce. In the newly released Poisons et Antidotes, she ventures into soundscapes that evoke artists such as Björk, Portishead, Debussy, Ravel, and Wayne Shorter.
