HUDSON com JACK DEJOHNETTE, JOHN SCOFIELD, JOHN MEDESKI & SCOTT COLLEY USA
One cannot talk about jazz without mentioning Jack DeJohnette, especially when it comes to drums and percussion. This diverse artist has left his mark on jazz since the 1960s, broadening the horizons of such genre, not only by collaborating with major jazz stars such as Bill Evans, Miles Davis, Chick Corea, Herbie Hancock, Pat Metheny, among others, but also as a songwriter and solo performer. In 2017, DeJohnette celebrated his 75th birthday in a tour with other great names of jazz: bassist Larry Grenadier, keyboardist John Medeski, and guitarist John Scofield. This all-star band calls themselves Hudson, named after the Hudson River Valley, in New York. After sharing the stages of life several times in the past, the joy of being reunited and their mutual admiration kick-started this tour. At MIMO, Hudson will perform with Jack DeJohnette, John Scofield, John Medeski and bassist Scott Colley, who toured with singer Carmen McRae, one of the legends of jazz, and has participated in more than 200 albums.
